Suprapod – Compact modular breaching pod family

The SUPRAPOD family comprises four ready-to-use breaching pods that deliver controlled, low-collateral entry across a wide range of targets. Models 13, 25, 80 and 100 cover lock breaching, standard and reinforced doors, shutters and heavy targets. SUPRAPOD accepts detonating cord or sheet explosives, and units can be linked for synchronized multi-point breaching.

Description

SUPRAPOD converts explosive energy into a focused, evenly distributed pushing force across the target surface. An elastomer insert concentrates the thrust and an integrated tamping gel amplifies that effect while reducing lateral energy dispersion, debris and backblast. Each pod is supplied as a ready-to-use kit with an adhesive mounting base and preconfigured cord routing for rapid emplacement. The non-metallic construction minimises fragmentation risk and improves operator safety in dynamic environments. Multiple SUPRAPOD units can be chained by detonating cord or configured with sheet explosive to breach large surfaces or multi-lock targets.

Kit contents and functions
• Adhesive mounting base with dedicated cord grooves for fast and secure detonating cord placement
• Elastomer insert to concentrate and distribute pushing energy across the target surface
• Rear compartment filled with tamping gel to amplify the pushing effect and attenuate collateral debris and backblast
• Predefined cord routing to simplify setup and shorten time on target

Role of elastomer and gel
• Elastomer insert concentrates pushing energy and optimises charge-to-surface coupling for improved material defeat
• Tamping gel amplifies and channels the pushing effect while limiting lateral energy dispersion and reducing collateral damage
• Combined elastomer and gel deliver repeatable results, improved safety and consistent performance across varied targets

Applications and versatility (analysis from slides integrated)
• Suprapod 13 is optimised for lock and handle breaching, wood and glass doors
• Suprapod 25 addresses standard or reinforced doors including fire-rated and steel doors
• Suprapod 80 is suited to roller shutters, armoured doors and light masonry
• Suprapod 100 is designed for heavy targets, walls, kill holes and firing or observation windows
• Pods accept detonating cord or sheet explosive formats depending on operational preference and target type
• Units can be linked for synchronized multi-point breaches to defeat large surfaces or multiple locking points

Variants (model, primary use)
• SUPRAPOD 13: lock and handle breaching, wood and glass doors
• SUPRAPOD 25: standard or reinforced doors (wood, steel, fire doors)
• SUPRAPOD 80: roller shutters, armoured doors, light masonry
• SUPRAPOD 100: heavy targets, walls, kill holes and firing/observation windows

Operational notes
• Pods are ready-to-use and designed for fast emplacement with adhesive fixation and guided cord grooves to minimise time on target
• Both detonating cord and sheet explosive options are supported; choose the format that best matches target geometry and tactical constraints
• Multiple pods can be linked and arranged to create synchronized breach patterns for large or complex targets
• Non-metallic construction and gel tamping improve safety for operators and reduce collateral effects in confined environments

Key features and benefits

  • Four purpose-sized pods to match any breaching need, from locks to heavy doors and shutters
  • Ready-to-use kit reduces setup time and logistic complexity
  • Elastomer coupling for concentrated pushing energy and optimised charge-to-surface coupling
  • Integrated tamping gel to amplify pushing effect and attenuate collateral debris and backblast
  • Compatibility with both detonating cord and sheet explosive formats for operational flexibility
  • Adhesive fixation and preconfigured cord grooves for fast, repeatable emplacement
  • Scalable and linkable for synchronized multi-point breaching operations
  • Non-metallic, low-fragmentation construction for operator safety
  • Effective on timber, glass, steel, armoured doors, light masonry, shutters and access hatches
