Underwater Fixing Modules
New family of pyrotechnic underwater fixing modules for rapid, discreet attachment on subsea structures. Two complementary versions support diver-handling and ROV-based missions.
Description
Suprameca introduces a range of pyrotechnic fixing modules designed for underwater interventions and system integrations. The modules provide instant, discreet and mechanical attachment to steel, aluminium or composite structures, delivering high mechanical strength for demanding operational conditions.
The Manual-activation MFP is compact and lightweight. It features a dual-safety system and is triggered by a single press of the control button to produce a permanent fastening on the target. It is optimised for diver use or handheld operation.
The Contact-activated MFP is tailored for ROV missions, notably in naval mine and underwater explosive device neutralisation. It secures the charge on the target and then allows the ROV to withdraw to a safe standoff position for remote initiation.
Energetic cartridges are available in three power levels so the fixing force can be tuned to the mission and substrate.
Key features and benefits
- Instant and discreet fixation on metallic or composite structures
- High mechanical strength: approx. 2 500 daN pull-out and 3 000 daN shear (S275 steel, 10 mm)
- Two complementary variants: Manual-activation MFP for diver use; Contact-activated MFP for ROV integration
- Energetic cartridges in three power levels for mission-tuned performance
- Dual-safety arrangement on the manual version to reduce accidental initiation risk
- ROV-compatible contact activation allowing safe withdrawal prior to initiation
- Fast deployment, reduced time on target and simplified logistics
- Designed and manufactured in France
